What Are You Trying to Do?
Proxy decisions depend on the problem you're solving. Start with what matters most.
Proxy types
Residential Proxies
If you're getting blocked on major platforms — residential proxies are what you need. They look like real user traffic because they are real user IPs assigned by ISPs.
Datacenter Proxies
If your targets don't actively block hosting IP ranges — datacenter proxies are the right call. They're fast, cheap, and work well on most unprotected sites.
Mobile Proxies
If residential proxies are getting blocked and your analysis points to IP type — mobile proxies are the next step. They route traffic through real 4G and 5G connections, which platforms can't block without also blocking real users.
Rotating Proxies
If you're hitting per-IP rate limits or getting banned after a few requests — rotation is the fix. It spreads requests across a pool so no single IP accumulates enough history to get flagged.
Proxies for Scraping
If you're getting blocked — the proxy type is probably wrong for your target. Most scraping failures aren't caused by bad proxies. They're caused by using datacenter IPs on targets that require residential, or vice versa.
Multi-Account Management
If your accounts keep getting banned together — they're being linked through shared IP history. The fix is one dedicated IP per account with sticky sessions, not a rotating pool shared across all of them.
