ExpressVPN vs NordVPN

NordVPN versus ExpressVPN is really a routing-versus-home-network question. NordVPN gives you a confirmed multi-hop route; ExpressVPN gives you a router firmware path that the other side does not.

A dedicated router path is the real separator

ExpressVPN goes beyond router instructions and has its own native router-firmware path. NordVPN does not have a confirmed native router-firmware option. If the goal is to cover a whole home network from one place, this is a concrete product difference rather than another feature-count tie.

What you give up for that setup

Multi-hop is the trade-off on the ExpressVPN side. If deliberately chaining VPN hops is part of your privacy routine, the comparison points back toward NordVPN.

Multi-hop is built into the decision

NordVPN has a confirmed multi-hop route in the current feature set. Built-in multi-hop is not part of ExpressVPN's confirmed feature set. The extra route matters only if you will actually use it; if you will, it is a direct reason to lean toward NordVPN.

Cash payment is another uncommon option

NordVPN supports cash payment. ExpressVPN does not currently support cash payment. It is niche, but for someone who deliberately wants that payment route, it is a real difference rather than a marketing extra.
