PureVPN vs PrivateVPN

PureVPN and PrivateVPN already overlap on router setup and obfuscation, so those shared basics are not where the decision lives. The useful differences are outside verification and whether you can route selected traffic outside the tunnel.

The privacy claim has independent backing

PureVPN's no-logs claim has an independent audit behind it. PrivateVPN does not currently have a completed independent no-logs or security audit. That does not make every claim automatically true, but it gives you a more concrete verification trail than policy language alone.

Split tunneling is confirmed

PureVPN has split tunneling on at least part of its supported platform set. Split tunneling is not confirmed as available for PrivateVPN. If some apps or local devices regularly need a different route, this is the sort of feature difference you notice in normal use.

PrivateVPN officially documents router setup. PureVPN officially documents router setup. Both services document a router path, so there is no reason to inflate that shared capability into a winner.

The compromise is narrower evidence and routing control

The audit and split-tunneling gaps are the main compromise on the PrivateVPN side. If neither matters to you, the core setup may be enough. If either does, the difference is easy to act on.
